This is an adorable little Pomeranian. I like her fluffy fur and her adorable little face. You have captured her well, considering this is a memory in your mind and you're not using a photo as a reference.
She appears as a very sweet girl. Nicely done.

Thank you again, my friend. I know I did her more as an older dog but was able to kind of include personality. I really appreciate your review and for liking her. I did use memory but also looked at a couple of Pomeranian to refresh my memory, study a little. One had bright eyes and was more like a darling puppy and white. But I wished to do what I'd remember from my friend Peggy.

Thank you so much for reviewing, your support, artist friend, and for the high rating. It is my first complete pastel pencil drawing on Stathmore paper. I remember her dog as being slightly older so I tried to capture that too. I appreciate that you like it too. Encouraged me.

I love pomeranian. So cute and fluffy. They are so good for snuggling and you have captured the cuddly quality and the texture is so dream state like. This is a beautiful way to share your artistic stylings with us.

I like the soft feel of your portrait Glena. Pomeranians are quite fluffy and soft, and you have brought that element so well. I like the colors and their brightness against the muted background. This pup looks happy and contented. Well done artist friend and best wishes for the contest!!

Thank you so much, artist friend, for your review and kind words, best wishes. I know his eyes are not as bright, but her dog was a little older. I really appreciate your encouragement concerning my first pastel pencils only work. Please be safe and have a blessed day.

Such a lovely depiction of a sweet Pomeranian. The colours are lovely you've depicted the eyes to make it look like he might be a "senior" dog. Very sweet

Thank you, artist friend, Paulene. As my first pencil pastel, I did endeavor to portray the Pomeranian as an older dog with its eyes. By the way, on this Thanksgiving Anchor program on Fox, Laura Ingram did a historical review of Mardi Gras in New Orleans and had some really interesting things I didn't know. Her often-time contributor, Raymond Arroyo was the Master of Sergeants. I think I remember you indicating you would like to attend Mardi Gras sometime.

Thank you so much, artist friend Jesuel. As my first pastel pencil, I wasn't sure how it would turn out; I tried to portray as an older dog by the eyes. I appreciate your support.

These Pomeranian dogs are so cute and so small, and I especially like how well you have brought out the fine textures of the fur. I also like very much the smooth neutral background.

Pomeranian have big shiny eyes, and I think you need to work a bit more on this painting to show this, but I think you have used high lights well.

The format is perfect, and the dog is well placed within the frame. All together I think this is a lovely and well done pastel, but with room for some improvements. I do wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you, artist friend AVMurray, for the review and suggestions. It is my first work with just pastel pencils and I tried to indicate that he is an older dog with less shiny eyes. If I use pastel pencils again, I will take longer, hopefully improve. I wished to enter another animal in acrylic but could not finish in time for this contest. I appreciate your support much.

Glena, Peggy's Pomeranian is so adorable. Your painting was done so well that I thought it was a photograph!
I find that animals are so difficult to portray, myself.
Wonderful job, as always, my friend.

Oh so cute Glena I just adore pomeranians. Love how you did the hair. The colours. The tongue.

The background is soft and pretty. All make for a beautiful piece of art.

Great job. And a great entry to the contest artist friend.
