Hi Glena, You did a great job painting this since you had to rely on your memory alone! Love the sweet look on the Pomeranian and the way you blended the colors of her fur. The stance is very nice too! Good Luck in The Contest! :o) Nancy

Thank you, artist friend Nancy, for your review and nice comments. I did look at several Pomeranian, I believe I mentioned, but yes, mostly for memory of Peggy's.

This is just an all-around fun painting that'd light up any animal lover, including me. It would particularly look nice in a children's bedroom.

Thank you, artist Chaxl. I agree, I did draw him with a kind of humorous face and the whole work in the category.

As I recall my best friends mother's Poms likeness the color is accurate and distributed evenly. The facial features eyes, jaw, ears and snout all appear natural and in proportion to the size of the dog.

After a few moments of looking at this fine rendition I conclude that pastel pencils like you ... Bob

Thank you, artist friend Bob, for reviewing and your encouraging words. I suppose the work is rather nice for my first pastel pencil drawing. Your support means so much.

I have a friend who has Pomeranians, they are certainly cute little dogs.
I think you did well to create this one, you show its fluffy fur coat it's red and gold colors and it's a cute Pomeranian face.well shown to show the mask and it's facial features appear accurate.
I like that it has its its tongue out.
Well arranged and presented!

He looks like the traditional fur ball. I have known so of this breed over the years of my insurance career and my memory of them are that they are a bit snappy. This little guy looks happy and friendly. Your blending of the colors in the fur gives good DOF. This seems a bit of a rustic touch of the fur but it may just be my bifocals. Great job.

Thank you, artist friend Gary. I really haven't seen that many Pomeranians but two I remember seeing, one--Peggy's, I believe had a rustic touch; and, later a white one, which I thought was exceptionally beautiful, and of course, the puppies are the cutest as they usually are in most breeds.

Glena I really like this yiu have captured the essence of his character : the colours are realistic. The stance has an artists representation which I find appealing.. good luck in the comp.

Thank you, artist friend Brenda. I have thought about you so often and have not been able to send out an email as I needed/still need to clean out thousands first, and with health problems I didn't feel up to it, hope to do so soon. So, I'm glad I saw your response so I ask again, how are you doing? The loss of a loved one is so tragic; only God's strength and grace enables our continued going and being blessed to use our art as you have the gift. My athletic brother is very ill now too, with Melanoma, Stage 4 in addition to the B-Cell Leukemia (For seven + years) I feel as though I know you and Ecki, from your friendship here and kind speaking of him. In one email, is there a space before the 18? I looked again and believe they are straight on, both with an 18. Take care and let me know if you need anything that I can do from here.

Hi, there is no space before the 18 you and your family seem to have problems healthwise again so sorry about your brother. This disease is a horror story and now I really understand grief, it is so raw ... my thoughts and prayers are with you every day my lovely kind friend

Thank you, again, artist friend Brenda. I appreciate your reply. I now know I have the correct address. Today, I had a good test result, the infection was clear; the doctor, surprised, said, "I was shocked." He sent me for an unrelated or related X-ray, accordingly.

Thank you, artist Seshadri. I was doing a wildlife with parent and child in acrylic but felt I couldn't finish it in time, so quickly did this instead for now.
