Hi Lise, It's to bad the image you shot of this lovely image isn't quite in focus. You can still tell it's a beautiful image though. Love the way you put the grasses around the mail box. The slight touch of blue sky with slanted strokes comes across very nice too. Looks like something is nesting in the mailbox too. This is quaint and beautiful at the same time. What a lovely friend you must be to hand paint a card instead of just buying one!
I love the unkempt look of the post box, with the long grass around its base and the milk churn holding it up.

Positively perfect for a card. Its quite cute in its way. We dont have mail boxes like this but I have seen them in movies. The impression is a cold winters day given by that cool colour pallet nice work.

Very nice card with a warm country feeling. Love the wooden mailbox with an old churning pot as a holder for the mailbox.

The colours are soft and subtle.

This has some really good features for a card, painted quite well in watercolor. The sky is nice; the mailbox in the large container is unique. There is some lopsidedness but perhaps purposeful. Best wishes in the contest.

What a nice idea for a December birthday card. It doesn't look "Christmasy" but it shows a stack of mail, possibly more birthday cards for your recipient. I love the muted colours and your choice of an old milk can instead of a regular wooden post for a stand. It conveys a real "country feel" to it. Love it!

There are free websites available where you can download the image and rectify the defects. 'Picasa' is good.
