She is a beauty. The sea-foam green color of the moth is stunning. The contrast of the purple flowers only helps the intensify the contrast of the two colors. Your crop is balanced and helps show off the moth's features. Nice catch.

A beautiful picture of this large pale grey green Luna moth alighted on the Lavender blue Dame's Rocket with it's green foliage that both stand out on contrast to to Moth's wings & long tails to it's wings.
Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

I've only seen 3 Luna moths in my lifetime. You were lucky to find this one. This is a lovely shot of the moth. The soft green of the moth definitely catches your eye. Love the moth on those purple flowers. Lighting and focus is good. A lovely entry for the letter "L" contest! Good Luck! :o) Helvi2

Thanks so much for the wonderful review;really wasn?t much luck involved at all,except for the fact that it didn?t fly off-lol- this is one of several that I reared from caterpillars last year and overwintered in cocoons til they started to emerge in late spring. I WAS lucky that I had a nice patch of dame?s rockets growing not far from the house!
