What a beautiful cat and fine pose you have captured. His golden-browns, whites, and other colors in his fur are beautiful and well seen. Even the yellows and faint touches of pink are viewed. The eyes are lovely and the background is well done. Best wishes in the contest. Sorry I don't have a "6". This is another cat that would also make a lovely drawing/painting, especially the face and upper portion, actually all of it.

I can clearly see each whisker, ear sensory hairs and I can identify and label each cat hair visible in this remarkable take.
Using the painterly effects as the right choice and boy the results are simply eye popping fresh and vibrant. Your judicious use of this algorithm is perfect - the colors do not appear altered or enhanced, just beautifully natural.
Lighting is 75% of a photos look. This is lit in such subtle shades with the brightest falling across the expressive features of Stubby.
Top drawer framing, camera technique is perfect, etc, etc I could go on ... But I won't over state the obvious. What I will say is you started with a killer shot of an old friend and made him immortal.
