Pat .. If I came upon this scene, there is where you would find me a day later and a dollar short standing mouth agape and eyes frozen open wide in wonder at the site that has my finger stuck on the shutter release!
This is travel log quality. Super focus with vivid natural colors. Brilliant use of the ROT in a portrait format. Scene balance is crucial in this orientation and you got it perfectly - top and bottom thirds are equal in size anchored by an eye catching middle third that doesn't hog the show but guides the viewers eye out of the forest.
I remember your early post. This is composition is technically and artistically head and shoulders above those.

Pat, I admit it, I am a sucker for a shot like this. Pure beauty anyone would understand. The mountain, the red at the base of the mountain, the yellow island, the reflection and the fore ground. It all comes together to inspire us and what a story. Excellent. Ray
