Nice nature scene with the water geyser. The geyser and foreground look like a dessert, the geyser itself somewhat like a Bundt cake, delicious. The sky is lovely as is the foliage.

A really beautiful nature photo you have here! I like how you have captured the many fine colors in the rock formation. You have created great depth with the dark green middle layer and the gorgeous blue sky filled with clouds. The clarity is pretty and the off center composition is pleasing. Wow! You went all the way to Madagascar? That's impressive. I went to Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and they had something like this, but it was more green.
If I had to guess, then... I'd bet that Lemur photo posting is probably yours too. I saw the cartoon movie "Madagascar," and it had lemurs in it. (don't tell)

Yes, it was a childhood dream finally achieved! Which in fact turned into a business venture (importing Malagasy crafts) and I ended up going every year for six years - until they all got mobile phones and communication became a whole lot easier, on Messenger!

I did not even know that cold geysers existed. I thought they were all hot. This one looks lovely though, with the warm golden colors, and it is standing out well from the background. You have also brought out so well all the fine textures.
The photo is sharp showing such clear and well defined details in the geyser, and the exposure is perfect.
The format is very good and with the geyser off to the right, it is a very fine balance in the composition. I think this is a great looking and well taken photo Charlotte, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thanks Brian, oh dear I didn?t think about the amount of water needed in this contest, just thought it would fit the bill as it is a WATER geyser. Fingers crossed 🤞 the judges don?t have the same thoughts as you did!!
