Jodi,
A beautiful picture of that amazing statue of the Native American on his horse dressed in clothes made with what looks like soft leather carrying a feather topped pole the light sparkling in the eye of his horse. Artistic composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques& sharp focus.

I love this image. Yes you have captured the mystical feel. I just lost my father in law who was an Elder with the Spokane Tribe. I can truly feel this image. He was a soft spoken spiritual man whom will be deeply missed. I like the technique you used for your photo. It is magical. Well done Thank you for sharing this. I needed the visual.

This looks like a scene from a movie , they appear to be coming forward out of the darkness into the light in a rocky mountain area , it's such good depth you have accomplished here .
Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct colors and tones appear true.
Well composed and presented!
This is a beautiful statue and tribute to the Native Americans.

It certainly does! Another lovely photo of this amazing statue with sharp details and beautiful lighting. I don't know if it's possible, but a little more light on the horse's nose, like on the rest of the head, would work well in showing the full form.

Thanks again for commenting, I appreciate it very much! I actually drew in the nose, well the nostril anyway as I had cut it off in the original photo. I was quite a newbie when this was taken!!

Oh wow, in that case the nose is amazing!!! I had another close inspection and I?m very impressed with your drawing, it?s not at all obvious. Well done!

If anything it is better Jodi and does give of an air of mystery in this,it sort of looks darkish and the statue syands out against the background, good one...Brian

When looking at artwork of the heroes of the past the viewer needs to let himself/herself be stirred by the movement of ideas. Not just looking at colours, abstract shapes, texture. I like the spirit behind your art.

A tribute to the true custodians of our land , the Native Americans. You have done a fine job Jodi. It is such a great choice with all the strife they have experienced. Thank you for sharing this wonderful picture, so nicely presented. Ray

Your tribute to the Native American displayed in this statue is amazing. Your use of post-production effects has a tremendous DOF. He seems to emerge out of the background as if he was rising out of a dream. The spot of light hits the details rider's face and chest. The half-lit horse adds tothe ghostly feel. Nice work. Where are these statues located?

Thank you so much! I most sincerely appreciate your kind comments and high rating! I found this statue in Telluride Colorado, outside one of the grand ski lodges about halfway up the mountain. It was outstanding craftsmanship.

Quite a nice looking image posted here of a native Indian. Your fine and classical composition offers an enjoyable view of him. Colours, textures and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely taken!

It's a fine looking picture,Jodi!
Speaking of 'mysticism',many of these warriors of the 'Western Nations' believed that the 'Stars and Stripes' were magical symbols that brought our military forces special powers!
( That's probably why this horseman is clutching a captured US Army cavalry troop's Guide On flag!
