Ray, this is a lovely piece that clearly depicts snow covered trees. I can almost see a deer hiding behind the larger tree. It conveys a feeling of peacefulness and solitude. Lovely

The terraced look of the trees tells the story of this blustery night of snowfall. The snow is hanging heavy and is weighing down the branches.
The air is full of snowflakes and is diminishing the light of the streetlights. I have driven in this type of heavy snow that is falling straight down. It feels like you are driving in snow globe. If it is now too cold, this would be the perfect night for a walk.

It is almost strange to see this painting done in black and white, because you always present work so full of colors. I find it very effective though, and it is easy to see that this is pine trees with snow. But colors or not, the fine textures you are so good bringing out are there.

I like the way the trees are filling the frame, and showing them in different sizes makes for a good balance in the composition. I think this is a lovely and well done abstract Ray.

How breathtaking and sparkly the trees look. I'm sure you've turned all the ladies head with this one Ray. We love shiny bedazzled things that look even close to diamonds. This is an enchanting piece.

This is a great competition entry for black and white art. It has nice detail on the snow laden branches and the lines in the background give a feel of the snow continuing to fall.
Ver best of luck in the contest.

I do apologize for some of the other ratings. I did not read this until this morning and was not aware until this morning that there were certain policies pertaining to the rating system. I will keep this in mind when rating future artworks. Thank you for your time. ~ Gnat

I love the look of snow on pine boughs, you have done a fantastic job of depicting this wintery scene! These trees are lovely, I see the wind blowing snow off some of the branches and cascading down upon others. A great entry for this contest, wish you all the best!
