This is a beautiful presentation of one of your prized deer sculls rested upon the rippled waves of sand and adorned with a powerful shadow spanning the way. LeeAnn very powerful, poignant message of life and death and the sands of time. Ray

A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of your nice creation. Personally, I would never have taken a deer skull on holiday with me! Textures, colours and tones are good. Sharpness and exposure are fine. Nicely created!

Thanks very much! I don?t think there are too many people that would take deer skulls with them on vacation-lol!

This is an interesting composition, with the low light giving wonderful shadows to the sand ripples. The shot is beautifully sharp and the colours are good.
Ha ha I do wonder what what others on the beach thought as you wandered along with a skull in your hand!

Thanks so much! This was one of my smaller skulls, which I had in a shoulder tote with a couple of doe skulls, so all that was sticking out were the antlers, I don?t think anyone noticed. But the last time we went I had a couple of larger buck skulls, and took one out to the beach early evening when some people were still there. They seemed interested in what I was doing with it, and I?m quite sure it probably made for some interesting conversations later on-lol!

An outstanding and out-of-the-box post. Love the concept and execution. And the philosophic idea behind it. The light and shadows, and the composition have worked well. Well done!

The sand with the lines and detail is lovely as I am sure the dunes are. The antler shown so well is nice. The blue-tinted shadow is nice. The skull is not seen as well and is okay. The subtitle "Ripples in Time" is poetic and symbolic. Thanks for sharing.

That's Super Cool,LeeAnn!
It's like the skull of some prehistoric ungulate
( Sivatherium perhaps ) is about to undergo a rapid fossilization process as it lies upon 'the sands of time'!
'Good Show',my friend!

Thank you so very much my friend, glad you enjoyed this ( should have used *sands of time* as the title, teach me to post late at night-lol!) and honored it with an extra star!

I like how the shadow is casted. It is very interesting and unique to see a deer skull in the sand rather than in the woods. The sand defines the skull very well. It is a very beautiful piece.
