I love backlit shots. The hint of the afterglow reflects on the beach as the horse trots down the beach. You lens speed was quick enough to catch the splashing of the water. The horizontal presentations are perfect.

A very beautiful picture of the jockey on his horse riding through the breaking waves, that are said to strengthen the the horse 's legs. The afterglow of the setting sun in the sky then reflected on the sea's glistening surface is an added bonus..

The almost silhouetted horse and rider are standing out sharp and well defined against the sea, and the exposure is just perfect.
The panorama format you have cropped the photo into works so well, and I like that you have given the horse so much room to move into. Indeed a beautiful and well taken photo Fred, and with an excellent DOF.

When I was in France I was able to tour Monte Sainte Michelle, but Normandy must be much larger than I imagined. It is a beautiful picture any way. Ray

This take has tremendous story potential aside from being a fine piece of photographic art.

This is a lovely photo. I like the long narrow crop you've chosen, the position of the rider is perfectly placed, riding into the image and nicely following the rule of thirds. And to have a sunset in the background, what more could you ask!

This is different in that a lovely horse and rider are silhouetted so nicely along the beach. The water is lovely. The sunset, in a straight rectangle of solid orange, is lovely indeed.
