As the migrants reach our shores, they are filled with hope and wonder. The collections of faces I see through the kaleidoscope of human colors; I think back to 1842 when my ancestors landed in Holland Michigan on a Clipper ship from the East Coast. 16 years old and by himself. People have to remember that we were all migrants unless we are part of the original inhabitants that welcomed us and helped us survive. Nice work.

A good looking journalistic image posted here. Your composition suggests to me that those unfortunate poor, people are either entering or leaving a dense forest. Textures, colours and tones are good. Well painted!

I like the painting, but even more so, the hope and kindness behind it. I used to live in Nashville, where all houses are built of brick because the area is all clay. At the subdivision construction sites at 6 AM, there were no whites, blacks, or Asians hauling those bricks. It was all Mexican migrant workers.

This is a painting with a deeper meaning, and I like the way you pictured migrants with just a few simple lines of black. The way you have done the bottom of the painting in all greens, has "grounded" them.
Needless to say that it is great textures to be seen, and by the use of yellow you have brought light into this painting.
A fine format, and a good balance in the composition. A truly lovely and well done abstract Ray.

The migrants must be walking through beautiful turquoise waters which would be a refresh ing thing for their travels. Also, love the title chosen for this piece. I'd say there about 4 of them that you've depicted quite vividly nicely and their quest for solace. Love it!
