This is a great picture that is well focused and well lit. The only thing that I don't like about it is that you have cut off the birds feet. I would either have included them for completeness or zoomed in a bit more to get rid of the legs. I think he just looks a bit odd cut off just below the knees.

Thanks! I t was just the way I caught him on this shot. I knew it bother some folks! I thought about cropping it closer but it was tough on this one! Appreciate the input!!

That is one handsome bird, Rod Stewart would be jealous. Probably trying to get the sand out of those delicate places, all in a days preen. Very nice capture. Ray

A clever title and seemingly true of the white feathered large bird, which is attractive except perhaps its preening. Really nice distant blues and sand as well as the foreground sand. Best wishes in the contest.
