Fantastic close up of this Magpie Chris. I read one review telling you white balance was off... Dead wrong. Don't take advice from one who shoots in auto.
Your white balance is controlled on the whites and the blacks showing fine feather details.
Eye clarity is clear and sharp.
Remember ones rank does not equal ones skill behind the lens.

Wow Chris! The magpie is a favorite of mine, I find these birds to be so entertaining , they are such clever birds! I am so happy for the opportunity to view an Australian Magpie, I immediately see the difference in the color pattern from our magpies. The head shape is the same.
You have photographed this one so very well with spot on focus, this image is sharp and clear and you have brought out such well defined detail , exposure is correct on both the black and the white feathers, the face is beautiful and look at that clear eye!
The fresh green background works perfectly to emphasize this bird.
It's a perfect placement within the frame .
