I love love love this shot. You have great DOF and the colours are stunning for this photo.

This would be awesome hanging on the wall.

A six is flying high but can't be placed as I don't have any in hand. So sorry.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review.
It really was a heavy storm when it arrived, though not rain as I had expected, but snow! Oh the joys of living so close to Scotland! Lol
    Thanks again,
    Charlotte

OMG! That definitely looks like it is going to be one hell of a storm! Love the light and dark in this image. You have done well to get the sun on the warm yellows of the field and the dark in the cooler tones in the sky. The white birds against the dark sky is a nice touch. Well done and thanks for sharing.

This is an excellent landscape photograph; with rich color of the crops. The darkened sky works very well. Great detail, color and contrast.

This is a keeper. I have been trying to catch this shot in fields around my home. The darken sky and the light on the field is a perfect shot. The crisp focus and lighting are outstanding. The DOF and your POV combine to bring us into the scene and fell the storm front approaching. This one needs to be framed or mounted on metal.

This is so awesome, and boy it looks like my area, Love those storm clouds of pure rain. That sun shining from the other side is great, so well-focused. and those birds in the sky which at first I thought were stars. I love the way you are kind of on top of the hill looking downwards in the field.

The sky is amazing. Lightning could streak across it at any time. Looks like the farmer will not get the round bails loaded under cover before the rain. I used to move these 1,200-pound bails with a tractor and a spike lift.

Thank you so much for your review Thomas, yes a little bit of forked lightning would have been so much better, but unfortunately there wasn?t any :-(
It turned out those clouds were filled with snow which fell very heavily - typical British weather, it is so unpredictable! Lol

This is such a lovely scene, and you have pictured it so well. I especially like the contrast between the dramatic looking dark sky, and the golden field with straw bales. I also like very much your perspective.

The photo is sharp showing clear and well defined details in the straw bales, and you have also brought out so well the fine textures of the field. The exposure is spot on.

The format and framing is perfect, and it is a very good balance in the composition. This is a truly lovely and well taken photo Charlotte, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

Beautiful!! Your shot is lovely with golden field against charcoal colored sky and do I see white birds on the right? I just love how warm your shot is and the way you have captured this scene is so well done. An excellent entry for the contest, best wishes!

Thank you so much Jodi, for your great review and for your six stars!
Yes, seagulls flying in the sky to the right - the darker line below the sky is the North Sea, which explains why they?re there.

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of the storm approaching those bales. Wonder where in the world you took this? Well done and good luck!
