Your capture of this delightful little girl is so well captured. Her personality and her plight are so evident. I traveled to Honduras for 12 years and have seen similar situations. The politics are similar. Our Rotary Club is planning a trip in March to check out the new school we have been building over the past two years. Your comments are not ranting but telling it like it is. Thanks for posting.

A very thought provoking image for the contest which tells the story before reading the detail information which is appreciated. So sad that children and people suffer through greed.
Your image is taken with excellent technical skill.

Thank you so much for your great review and six stars, both are very much appreciated.
Yes, greed is a very unpleasant part of human nature, causing so many to suffer.

This is one Great authentic portrait photography! Beautiful and kind smile she has . Makes me wonder would we smile too under such tough conditions? You have capture the whole story of those people in one portrait. Very well done !

Thinking using the word neglect is stretching it a bit for the n contest, but that aside you took a good photo of this young girl and like in most third world countries corruption is the name of the game, totally wrong of course, did once work for corrupt nigerians in this country with a developer in london and witnessed how some were wealthy while the country was poor, did you give her something,,,Brian

    Thank you for your review.
Yes of course I gave her something, some money for taking her photo (supposedly!), some clothes and my packed lunch as she was so hungry - I got pretty hungry later too! Lol

Nice capture.the angle of the shot of this young child is great. The clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The presentation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Thank you so much for your great review and wonderful rating, I really appreciate it.
She was no doubt used to the rain, but the poor little thing was shivering with cold.

She s such a beautiful little girl . You have photographed her so very well !
She is well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct, colors and tones appear true and natural.
I love the eye contact, it's as if she is looking right at me!
She stands out beautifully from the soft green toned background .well composed and presented! Your notes are informative and appreciated , regardless of who is responsible , neglect of a child is the saddest .it's just unacceptable.
This is a problem right here in the US too.
Thank you for sharing this.
Best wishes to you in this contest!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review and high rating, you've made my day!
Yes, it's heartbreaking to see such poverty and neglect, especially in innocent children. People's lives in Madagascar are very hard (with no social care, no pensions, no medical assistance, no unemployment benefits and so on), so they produce as many children as possible (many of them die) to ensure they (the parents) are looked after in their old age and not left on the streets to beg. Such a sad state of affairs.

I happen to like the title as it brought me to read about what is happening there. She still has a smile on her little face. I never understood humanity with their greed in letting other humans suffer. This is an awesome photo

A good looking entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and full composition does project an air of neglect. Colours, textures and detail are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!
