He is a stunner. The handle gave him a perfect perch for your photo prop. The lighting and focus are sharp. The color is very natural, and the lighting is very controlled. Background helps he stand out in the scene.

Hi bpellephoto, Love the perch and the lovely shot of the Cardinal. Very nice presentation too. The lighting shows off the beautiful red of the Cardinal. The focus is slightly soft, but still shows off the bird well. Nicely done and a joy to view! :o) Helvi

This Cardinal is indeed looking great with the vibrant red colors, and you have pictured it so well. I especially like the darkness of the background, and how well the bird is standing out from it.
The photo is pin sharp showing clear and well defined details in the feathers of the bird, and the exposure is perfect. I also appreciate the crisp and clear colors.
The format and framing is very good, and the bird is well placed within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Bob, and with an excellent DOF.

i swear looking at close it looks like the cardinal is grinning...lol. its a cool capture but got tickled at seeing the grin. the clarity is great. the framing is good. the font is good. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of this cardinal is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

I have run out of bird takes from my stock, so looks like this summer I will be out and about. I don't have enough of Raptors so maybe I'll concentrate on them.
