This is a lovely entry for the competition! So simple and yet really quite striking.
Perfect dof giving the background that gorgeous blur, while keeping the fern leaves beautifully sharp.
Your composition is perfect, placing the focal point to one side - so many others would have slapped it bang in the middle!

OK, this is the kind of photography I love. The greens look good in the shot and the light is nice. Focus looks sharp and I absolutely love the positioning! So many people would put this in the middle or say that it should be in the middle, but the way that you have positioned the fern in the shot works so so so well. Thank you so much for sharing.

OK, this is the kind of photography I love. The greens look good in the shot and the light is nice. Focus looks sharp and I absolutely love the positioning!
