What a gorgeous painting. The golds and greys with the yellows and whites work so well.together. You have given it such a realistic appearance, like a photo and that is exceptional. You should be so proud of yourself. It's absolutely radiant.

Pastels are a natural for landscape /Seascape paintings. The effect is very close to oil paintingā?"strong, bright colorsā?"with less mess and bother. I like the way you have used the soft pastels with contrasting colorus and slowly build depth with layers. A fine effort. Well done!

This is a gorgeous scene, so well painted, beautiful soft pastel work. The sky is lovely; the horizon is good; the water and the waves are rather outstanding. The foreground, with the sheen and shadows, is lovely. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Joanna, Love the tranquility of this beautiful image. I think you did a wonderful job of showing the water draining back into the ocean. You gave the wet sand a lovely soft glow too. I can hear the waves brushing the shore, love the crest of the wave and the gorgeous sunset. I'd love to walk into you image and just enjoy the sounds and view. The only thing I can criticize is I wish when you took the picture of your painting it was more in focus. The image truly lovely! :o) Nancy

This is beautiful! Very well created ! I love the soft pastels , the golden tones just above the horizon and that silvery blue across the top, the cloud detail is impressive and I love the way the clouds are moving across from right to left .nice show of the land , it looks like a mountain on left , the water is well shown , nice waves and reflections from the setting sun. I love the way you show the light here in the foreground. This is well created, beautifully arranged and presented!

You have drawn so well, with excellent detail on the surface of the sea and the waves have real depth to them. I love the band of yellow light coming across the water and onto the beach.
