What a lovely entry for this competition!
I love the poster edging you've used here, it works so well and really draws out the dramatic colour of the (iris??) flower.
It's beautifully focused and I like the close crop very much.

Looks like a Red Canna Lily but not sure - not keen on the poster edge but a choice you have made - the central composition works well and the red color is natural. Focus is good.

I like your use of mixed media on this. Heavy contrast, slight animation gives this witty flower a brand new purpose. I love it. The darkened areas of the petals really jumps out with this perfect level of adjustment. I started to give you 4 1/2 stars but changed it to 5. The more I looked at it the more I liked this idea. The red color is brilliant and garbling of the background works really nicely.
