This is such a lovely bloom , it's one that I have never seen in person . I like the angle of placement as the flower tips in from right to left .
This is well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct, the pretty pink tones with some white running through appear natural.
The natural green leaf background works well to emphasize this lotus bloom.

It's nice to see improvement on your white balance control Mary. It's not easy shooting in the bright sun, BUT it CAN BE DONE as you prove so well here.

Nice Macro shot. The advancing bloom is beautiful.
As gardener, I can appreciate the beginning of new life, color and fragrance. The tight crop and focus is very tight. I have seen water lilies similar to the lotus flower develop and once they are open, the colors are muted but still beautiful.

This photograph is well focused throughout and the lighting is gentle but effective (I like the shadows on the petals). I think that it would have nice as well to see where the stalk comes from so I would have taken it in portrait mode.

Thanks Celyn yes would have like the stalk myself but the leaves are massive and cover up where the stalk is from - they grow in a pond which is literally covered with the foliage and suddenly you get a flower above the leaf.
