Oh my goodness Mary ! This is gorgeous and so very well captured! Spot on focus, this image is sharp and clear and you have brought out every detail in both petals and the visible part of the lotus flower seed pod .
The flower is stepping forward from the blurred green toned background , the light is falling upon this beautiful flower in such a lovely way.
Look at those details in the petals ! This is well composed in the square format . Well presented! Worthy of a six , I'm sorry I am out , this is beautiful work !

Outstanding capture Mary!
To "those people" upset by not seeing the stalk in previous post, I say REALLY??!! THE BEAUTY of a lotus is the bloom itself.
I tire of so many " experts" on far who still shoot in auto and know nothing about Kelvin Scale or exposure bias settings.
Your focus is spot on as well as your exposure shooting in the bright sun.

A beautiful photo Mary! I love the way the sun makes the petals almost transparent.
