He looks like a beautiful dog; I'd like to see those big eyes to really be able to assess fairly. His hair is thick and a lovely color. The touch of blue at the lower left adds color. The tint of blue on his uncombed hair at top is rather nice. Indeed, a hippy in many senses, but he is adorable.

This is a truly lovely dog - he is very cute and extremely fluffy. I presume that he was moving about a bit when you took this picture as it does seem out of focus or were you just too close for your cell phone to handle it. It would have been nice to see his nose properly as it is impossible to see his eyes with all that lovely fur. Nevertheless, good luck with it as he is gorgeous.

Thanks. No one can ever see his eyes. I've had people say I should give him a bowl cut. I do thin his bangs out so he can see better. I don't know where all that hair came from. He didn't have it as a pup.

He looks like me in the morning, bad hair day LOL. He's really cute! (I'm a vet tech so love animals!) I'm guessing some type of sheepdog mix or if smaller a terrier mix of some type. Love his story! Good luck in the contest!!

Thank you. My parents encouraged me to become a vet when I was young. But it aches my heart to see animals in pain, especially when the owner or other human is to blame. I've had all kinds of guesses as to Poppy's breed. The woman I got him from said the litter was 1/2 mini schnauzer 1/2 beagle. He didn't have all this long hair as a pup, but I've had 2 pure beagles. Poppy does not have a drop of beagle. If you look at pictures online of a Dutch Shmashmoth. I'm not sure if I spelled that second word correct. But even the puppy pics is spot on dead ringer. I've had people say Otterhound, etc. I did send his DNA in for analysis recently. I'm anxious to find out. I just call him my Tijuana Terrior.

Is he an Old English or a smaller guy? He has good looks and I think he has an interesting personality, I like the hair and his eye peaking out, well done

Thank you. He's smaller than a old English sheepdog. If you look up Dutch Shmasmouth (spelling is a guess), he is a ringer for that breed. Even puppy pics are ringers. He's about knee high. Funny kid. His bangs are so thick and long. I can't see his eyes at all right now. A couple reviewers said he looked out of focus. I thought, he always looks out of focus. Lol

I'm sure he has some poodle in him. Cute dog. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this dogs facial is great. The capture of the light is great. The presentation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall.

I used to have a dog that looked like this one,the photo though is really blurred and its such a shame as this could have been a real good one for the contest..Brian

Thanks. Actually, I think it's just him. He always looks out of focus. Lol. Especially closeup shots like this. His hair doesn't have any definition to it. It's impossible to get a more defined closeup . Plus the light from the window made this look even softer.

a great shot of this pooch with excellent composition, filling the framework fully and with his main features centrally placed. It looks like the Tibetten Terrier Breed in my first view

Thanks. I just read a 2 star review saying he's out of focus. I told him he always looks out of focus. I came across a breed I'd never heard of but every adult and puppy pic I saw online looks exactly like him, even as a puppy. Amazingly so. I'll guess at the spelling, Dutch Smashmouth.

Ha! Haa! What a cute little fella, this Poppy is! Nice sounding name too. The Beatles would be jealous seeing his hair do! Nice looking shot of the pet. The clarity, and composition have worked well.

Thank you. I think I've had 3 bad reviews saying it was out of focus. I say, "he always looks out of focus." I even got criticism about not being able to see his eyes. Well I'll pass that on to him groomer. Usually I can't see his eyes at all. I guess he smells as he goes. He never runs into anything. And he runs a mile a minute. A 5th Beatle for sure.

A good looking image posted here into the competition posted here! Your fine and full composition gives us an enjoyable view of your sweet looking pup. Textures and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!

Adoption is so heartwarming. This image may need to be re-uploaded. There is significant loss of detail and blur. There are very few details in focus which really takes away from his charm.

Amazing. I have other outstanding reviews from people that have been members at least 10 years. Unfortunately his hair just doesn't allow for a sharper image than what you see. I've tried manually sharpening some areas even using a pointed stylus on a painting program. But it doesn't look natural. So, I decided to present as is.

A lot of people just give 5 stars to all images, this one is not technically outstanding, it needs a bit of work.
