This is a fun piece Ray. I almost see a reflection of sorts between the top and bottom of this art. I see a yellow butterfly with wings in motion. The reflection is diagonal almost right in the center. Almost like you created the top and then made a diagonal fold creating the double image. Well done. Creative and fun.

I really like this one. I think I have been there before. I like the reflections of the trees, rocks and foliage. The ripples of water coming into the scene are perfect. Your colors in my thoughts cover all seasons. Nice work.

This is a spectacular light show under the surface of the water.there is so much happening under the surface that most of us will not see.
There are little creatures and lots of plant life to be found here. There is also a nice sense of motion especially in the plants as the tiniest creature moves, it actually makes the plants dance in the water.
The colors and tones and the way they are dispersed give the impression of the light bouncing and sparking at the slightest breeze overhead or the slightest movement under the surface.
This is very well created, beautifully arranged and presented!

The artist behind 'Underwater Luminescence', Mr. Ray is truly a wizard with a paintbrush, reminiscent of Mr. Gandalf of Middle Earth :)) The acrylic on paper composition is a mesmerizing light show that captures the essence of the underwater world in an abstract manner. I see this as a representation of the mysterious, organic life that thrives under the surface. The earthy tones and vibrant colors give the piece a feeling of growth and movement, almost as if the painting comes to life. It's like taking a glimpse into a hidden world, filled with the energy and vitality of the vegetable world.

Thank you so much for your in depth and comprehensive review. It amazes me how symbiosis is prevalent and so important for the advancements of the many species in the underwater environment. I love the reference to Paul Kocher's book. Elli, thank you again for your thoughtful and complementary review, it is well appreciated. Ray

Any resemblance to Paul Kocher's book was purely coincidental. Excuse my ignorance, but this is the first time I've heard of Paul Kocher. :)))

Hi Ray,I know you say this is underwater but I see vegetation behind a trickling waterfall. I can picture delicate thin streams of water cascading over a cliff's edge. This looks like a rocky staircase where the plants are really thriving! Love the view! Sorry I don't have a six left. This truly deserves one! Good luck in the contest! :o) Nancy
