This is a great photo of this female Redwing Blackbird.
Excellent exposure and lovely natural colours. The photo is in lovely sharp focus, with excellent dof giving the background the perfect blur, making the bird really pop.
Well done and thanks for sharing.

This is one lovely black bird. The workings with white or light shades are lovely. The head is quite serene. The light branch it cleaves to is rather nice with golden highlights. The blurred background is nice.

WOW!!! Lynn, this is the first photo in the wild I have ever seen of the female of this species.

Your camera settings are pin sharp and finely focused. Your expert camera technique has produced a high resolution image of excellent contrast, bright natural looking color and a harmonious tonal range.

The central position and the head in active profile gives the take a great deal of visual impact.

All parts of the head are seen in highly focused resolution - All the important features are well seen and sharp.

The soft background bokeh gives this take a 3-D impression - makes the bird and its perch 'Pop' out to be seen.

This is piece is Nat Geo worthy, and I don't have six left in my cupboard, thanks for showing me something new ... Bob

Lynn, This is a fine entry for your list. She stands tall on a stalk of wild grass gazing and perusing. The bokeh demonstrates the DOF and works well. A wonderful first listing. Ray

You have captured this lovely female red winged blackbird very well and I love the way she has posed on the stem of the plant. The bird steps forward from the soft green toned background.
Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct, colors and tones appear natural. I appreciate the turned head allowing a good look at her face, I appreciate that clear eye complete with a catch light and the clear beak.
Well composed and presented!

This is a great picture - well done. I like the way that you have framed it with the plant going from bottom left to top right of the picture and the bird seems to be in focus -you can see the light in its eyes. I just wonder what she was looking at.
