Don't think I've ever seen a hummingbird like this before! Love the bright pink head and throat. Focus is on the edge of being a little soft but lighting seems to be ok. A worthy entry for the contest but could be a little better On the edge of a mark down, but just good enough to get by! Good Luck in the Contest! :o) Helvi

Wow I think this is an exceptional photograph. I don't believe I have ever actually seen a hummingbird long enough to actually "see" it. This beautiful guy seems to literally be posing for you and what a beautiful bird. Beautifully focused. Amazing colors and interest. Beautifully presented and balanced. I especially love the fact there are no special effects. It is a natural photo without any magic. It is magical in its own right and it is yours. Very well accomplished!
