I have been very busy lately, so I am sorry I have not reviewed your work for some time. These blue flowers are called Blue Nigella Sativa, and they are truly pretty with their delicate petals and the dancing stamens. In this photo they are standing out so well from the green foliage.

The photo is pin sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of each flower. The colors look nice and natural, and the exposure is spot on.

I also like the way you have cropped the photo and the placement of the flowers within the frame. It is a truly lovely and well taken photo Allan, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

Hi Annie, glad you knew the name of this, I could only get it to a sativa. Your review was much appreciated. And thanks for the high rating!

Hi Allan, I tried looking this flower up but couldn't find it. IN some ways it reminds me of a Clematis, but the leaves definitely don't resemble it. The flower is gorgeous. Love the heavy petals and the center of the bloom. You took a great picture with wonderful lighting and focus. Love the blossoms you captured here. Thank you for sharing this lovely bloom. A great image for the blue contest! Good Luck in the contest! :o) Nancy

Hi Nancy, thanks for trying to find the name of this flower. I had no luck with it, although I may keep trying. I appreciate you comments a lots, so thanks.

The flowers are one of the prettiest blues I've seen. Yes, the flowers do seem to be floating atop the foliage which is nice, so green. The setting is different, yet nice. Best wishes.
