Oh Lordy!! If this take were published in America and it was known that the bird did not have a positive outcome from its interaction with the Ferris Wheel.
Then there would be such an outcry from one concerned entity or another for the immediate cessation of Ferris Wheel operations until regulatory legislation is passed!
Nice shot ... Bob

OMG splat! Yuck!
Just the angle you've used for this shot is great, but to have the bird trying to commit suicide is an added bonus - a pity he's not in focus, but hey we can't have everything, the wheel is beautifully crisp!

The very sight of this make my stomach churn. Anything resembling a giant wheel is a no-no for me. I think the bird is in trouble. Good timing. Overall, this is a eye grabbing pic. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Nik, It wasn't the bird that drew me into this shot it was the angle of the shot. This would have been a great entry in one of those "unusual angle" contests. The shot does have an interesting story to it though. I totally understand why you posed it. Though the bird is out of focus I like the shot of the Ferris wheel! :o) Nancy

Fine photography and capture of the flying bird also. Hope the bird was okay. A fine angle for the Ferris Wheel and to be able to get the bird. The sky is nice too. Thanks for sharing.

Nik,
An interesting picture of the Jackdaw in flight that appears to be e a collision course with the Ferris wheel though I suspect it escaped without injury as birds in flight can move faster than the Ferris wheel. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Those damned birds!
( one,a big old sea gull,I guess! ) managed to bring down a bomber in my Dad's squadron during WWII by smashing right into the plane's windscreen and causing the pilot to lose control! )
This is an interesting,Well-Presented picture,Nikman, and I'm enjoying it a lot!
