We have a lot of these fish in Norway as well, but I have not eaten any for quite a while. They are actually quite pretty and can be quite colorful. You have pictured them so well, and the scene looks very realistic. I especially like the color pallet and the play of light over the lake bed.
As always you have paid a good attention to details and used high lights well. With some of the fish behind the plants, you have created a good depth in the image.
The format and framing works well, and it is a fine balance in the composition. I think this is a lovely and well done digital painting Allan.

Thanks Annie, I appreciate your support on my artwork. I did not know Norway had this same perch species as we have. As a child it was a special occasion to have a perch and french fry dinner

You have created a perfect slice of the underwater life of a perch. Being raised in Michigan, the perch is one of our famous fish for Friday night meals. I am also a fisherman and love to fish for pan fish such as perch Your use of light and the example f the suspension of the perch in the weeds is great. If you can find a school of perch, fishing can great very good, and you will be rewarded with a wonderful meal.

Thanks for the nice review. A Friday fish fry of perch is a childhood fond memory. I think fresh water perch are hard to get anymore.
