A beautiful stop action picture of the water droplet bouncing back up from where it originally dropped onto. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques& sharp focus.

Hi CREZart, When I look at this I see a waterdrop angel. Her wings are spread out wide and she has a wonderful water droplet halo. My imagination loves to play with images too! LOL Your image is beautiful any way you look at it! I love the crystal look if it. The lighting just lights it up. The focus is perfection! This would have been a great entry for the "Flowing Water contest!" Presentation and Out of The Box thinking...10 stars!
Thank you so much for sharing this exquisite piece! :o) Nancy

Isn't stopping time fun, Cindy?

I had a lot of fun with this technique a few years ago. I think I took a few hundred images. Try a background image of most anything. The background image will be picked up by the water and distorted. I used the flag for a July 4th image - gnarly.

You might add some liquid food dye to the drip water or maybe use a glass catch basin and shine a light from underneath.

When you tire of this pursuit try slicing a thin 1/8 inch thick slice from any citrus fruit. Place the slice on a flat piece of glass (a storm window, etc.). On a table or other flat reflective surface support the glass so that it is at least 12" above the reflective surface. Shine a focused light source, a flashlight will do, at an angle at the reflective surface. Position your camera so that it is looking straight down at the fruit and shoot.

This fruit shoot is a lot of fun, I think you will enjoy it. In fact given your creative streak I expect to see some examples in whatever appropriate contest happen to be available.

I am giving this excellent piece a 6 for these 3 reasons: 1-Initial Visual Impact, 2-Creativity of the Presentation and 3-Technical Excellence.

I think this is outstanding work... Bob

Cindy, your water drop study is amazingly beautiful. I had a buddy in college do similar studies with SLRs and he used a strobe, because of the speed limitations. I find your work very impressive. Surfactants probably have a lot to do with the formations. Thank you for sharing your wonderful study. Ray

An interesting image of the droplets. There used to be a photographer on FAR that did droplet images regularly unfortunately I can't remember the name. The focus and sharpness of the top droplets are good. Clarity and lighting also good.

This is very well done and definitely not the easiest subject to tackle! It looks like a juggling ballerina (or an angel)! Lol The lighting is excellent and the focus is spot on! Well done!
