Perfect timing to capture this huge wave as it crashes in on the rocky shore.
Nice stop action on that frothy wave! I can imagine the sound . I love the ocean and watching the tides.
Well captured from an interesting angle placing the sea on the left and land on the right.
Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is well managed, the colors and tones appear natural. I looked and looked and am not sure I see the three people but think they are in silhouette over on the right, and there is a bright spot above them.
Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

Thank you so much Pat! The people are hard to see at this size, but if you look at the distant hills there?s a peak in the middle, just below that is a bit of white, that?s the people, two were wearing thankfully white T-shirts.

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of that dramatic wave. Colours, textures and tones are good. Well done and good luck!

Wow! Charlotte, Those waves are absolutely HUGE! Your timing was perfect in capturing this massive splash down! This would be one day where I definitely would keep my distance from the water! Looks like a once in a lifetime experience. Love the pov, lighting and clarity of the shot. I would be extremely happy capturing a shot like this! I have the feeling you'll do very well in the contest. Good Luck in the contest! So wish I had a six for you! :o) Nancy

Thank you so much Nancy! There hadn?t been any storms or bad weather, so I think the waves are always like that on that part of the coast! They were so awesome!

The power of the ocean is amazing and to be respected. This picture portrays that power and puts it into perspective. I wish you luck in the contest. Ray

The waves certainly look awesome and yes can the people in this as a scale in regard to the waves, good job i looks as if you kept a safe distance[otherwise no more photos] but no there have cases where people have lost their lives in taking risks.

Thanks Brian. I did go quite a bit closer, but wanted the whole scene for this shot.
