Very good entry for the contest. The lizard's skin almost looks as if it's made of wool! Great how you can see all the different textures of the skin and the background too. Very good camera techniques showing a lovely clear image. Great composition. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

What a great image for the texture contest. You can see every scaly nub in awesome focus in this lizard. This is one contest where focus means everything.! The lighting is perfect too! I can see why your instructor was so impressed with the shot. Super job of showing this lizard off! Wish I could bless this with a six but I'm out. So sorry!!! Good luck in the contest! :o) Helvi

What a great image for the texture contest. You can see every scaly nub in awesome focus in this lizard. This is one contest where focus means everything.! The lighting is perfect too! I can see why your teacher kept your photo to display to the class. It is a great contender for the texture contest. You have displayed texture in the lizard as well as his surroundings. Very well captured as he extends his neck putting on a fabulous show just for you. Best of luck in the contest!

Not one i would have thought for this contest,however its scaly skin does have a texture to it so therefore qualifys,good clear image of this lizard would however have left a tad more room above its head in this...Brian

I'm not surprised he was impressed, it's a great photo! And it's an excellent choice for this competition as the texture of his skin is so visible, particularly on the underbelly.
The image is well focused, with good exposure and lovely natural colours. Very best wishes for the contest!

It is a great example of texture and pattern both of which are shown with clarity. Colors appear natural. Possibly would have left a little more space over the head as it feels confined as the reptile stretches upward. Focus is sharp on eye.
