A beautiful profile portrait of the Trumpeter swan on the lake shore. The light highlighting it's white plumage, with the shadow of it's head & neck seen on it's breast. Beautiful composition froming & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

The water with its movements is lovely. The grass in front is nice, as is the rock or whatever the brownish is in the water. The white and black, as well as the sharp eye, of the swan are lovely. Best wishes in the contest.

Nicely done. Good white balance with no blown out areas and good detail in the feathers.
Pose and placement in the frame are well done. Good job in cropping.

Regarding white balance control this take has it in spades. All that white against a colorful background can be a shooters nightmare. In this case it was expertly controlled. No blown out areas lots of fine feather detail.
Best of all besides the classic pose is the sharp contrast between the white feathers and the black eye and bill is phenomenal.
This is well captured with good focus, this image is clear, exposure is correct, colors and tones appear natural.
