I must admit I Owls of any variety are a favorite of mine and you have excelled in taking this image.
The focus on the eyes is sharp and the color and clarity of plumage appears to be natural.
Love the background coloring which complements the Owl perfectly.

A beautiful portrait of the Little Owl standing proud looking into the distance on it's right. The light sparkling in it's golden eyes while highlighting is mottled brown & cream coloured plumage, as they stand out from the blurred old gold coloured background. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

What a great photo for this contest! He may be small but he looks mighty fearsome.
Beautifully focused, there's such good detail in every feather and the shallow dof gives a lovely blurred background.
