Oh wow. I swear this looks just like my baby picture! Ain't he cute..lol. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this cute lil fella is great. The capture of the light is great. The presentation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall.

This is an awesome capture, Charlotte! And what a lucky thing for you to be able to see this wildlife! It makes the deer in my yard seem very tame, lol! You've captured a wonderful expression on this young monkeys face, and I'm sure that it's going to do very well in the contest! Best wishes to you :-)

At least you get to see your deer every day, this was a once in a lifetime trip - so you can?t get off that easily, I?m still very envious of you and your deer! LOL

How adorable a capture is this wild infant Mountain Gorilla. What an experience to be in the wild and seeing these wonderful animals. A clear image and well lit to view the infant's face details and have eye contact. All the best in the contest!

WOW! I am so envious. I am not sure with my knees that I could have made the trek, but I would have loved to try. Your sense of "having a great eye for the perfect shot" is obvious. THe lighting and the tight crop is perfect. As I continue to look at this wonderful snap, I am changing my score to a 6. Congratulations of taking the trip and having wonderful results.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review and high rating!
The trek was hard going, and I even chose the easiest/shortest out of 3 (!) but it was all forgotten once we finally found the troop, it was just so amazing to see these beautiful endangered creatures in their natural habitat - and so close!

Hi Charlotte, What a great image for the wildlife contest! I think the baby gorilla is adorable! I love the look of innocent curiosity! The lighting and focus really capture this little guy and allow us to really take in this sweet shot. I envy you in getting to see these gorillas and getting a shot as wonderful as this! Good Luck in the Contest My Friend! :o) Nancy

Thank you very much Nancy! It was so incredible seeing them and, although we were told not to go closer than 50 yards, they came pretty close to us - one young female ran right across our feet!

Congratulations on your win for eye contact, wildlife. This is so deserved, artist friend. This is outstanding wildlife photography. I'd like to see more contrast between the adorable baby's grays and those of the log. The greenery in the background is well done also. Those eyes have instant contact with the viewer. Best wishes in the contest.

Thank you so much Glena for your great review and rating!
It's not a log he's hanging on to, it's his mom's back, hence why the colours are so similar.
reply by Glena Jessee-King on 20-Apr-2023
Oh sorry. I see that now. And definitely the colors should be similar. Outstanding work and results, artist friend Charlotte.

Ha ha no worries, I can see why you thought that, there?s not a lot of mom showing.
