Having spent some time in the Southwest this winter, I understand your thinking. Being a student of history, your study in the transition of the West is so effective.
The old wooden structure is the last remints of the Old West and the car is the being of the new West. The artistic style of this artwork reminds me of Charles Wysocki's Folk Art.

Interesting! Your digital artwork looks like a staged western movie set. I like the fine details and the gorgeous mountains behind. The old building is a nice spinach touch. Great entry to the contest, best wishes!
