Wow ! I'm not surprised that this was the winner! Wonderful initial impact: this is just a burst of colors and I love all of the swirls and shapes in the top 3/4 and I see a flower in the lower portion , the colors are so very well applied, I can see the time and thought you have applied here to get it just perfect! It's truly uplifting to view!
This is a well deserved win!

Hi Jewell, I can definitely see this in motion! I'm not on any
psychedelic drugs either! LOL Love your idea behind this and the beautiful display of colors. I like the out of the box thinking. Very cool and colorful! A great entry for the contest! Good Luck! :o) Nancy

Jewell!! This is so beautiful!! The colour combo reminds me of candy pinwheels. This artwork is just delicious and vibrant. I like the patterns you chose and the movement it created. This is endlessly entertaining. Thank you so much for sharing!! All the best to you in the contest!

Thank you SO MUCH! I have actually put this on fabrics for scarves and pillows and it?s pretty cool!

One may see swirling patterns, flowing forms, and vibrant hues that evoke a sense of movement. But unfortunately, the picture looks blurred in the large version and thus takes away the initial impact. You may try to improve upon this. Thanks for sharing!

It?s "blurred" as you say because it was over lapped like a double exposure.
    Tbanks for sharing your thoughts.

A random plethora of bright colors across my visual screen. As adventure into the world of purple dot, window pane and blotter. With Hendrix blaring in the background the whole world opens up and spews streams of complementaries, wafting, emanating, and adorning the shapes and contours of the common features around, all pulsating to the blaring beat and overdriven notes of a solo in overdrive. You have captured the feeling of an era in history and have presented it in this painting. This demonstrates your expert proficiency in use of color. The best of luck in the contest. Ray

Jewell, this is a beautiful work of art! Ha ha it reminds me of the clothes I wore in the hippie era! Yeah yeah I know I'm now showing my age! Lol
There is so much detail within the patterns, it must have taken ages to create the original drawing!
Mixing the two medias together works so well, and the overlapping gives it even greater interest.
Very best of luck in the competition, I think you'll do well.

OMG Jewell! I?d always visualised you like your profile pic, a mere slip of a girl! I?m just a couple of years older than you, and looking again at your pic, suddenly feel very young! LOL
Oops, nearly forgot - you?re very welcome.

People never guess my age. They think I?m my adult kids? sister. Haha

Ha ha I?ll bet that doesn?t go down well with your kid!

They laugh now. But as teens I would get asked out by their friends thinking I was a big sister or something. I am a free spirit too so they definitely wanted me planning things but not hanging out with them! Haha
