Congratulations on your first post, first milestone. The reds are so nice. So are the yellows and shapes with blues and greens. I like the item in brown at the bottom also. Fine abstract art, with your hands too.

Welcome to Fan Art. I will be perfectly honest with you so that you can try to achieve your dream. It takes many years of hard work to become proficient. Go back to school or take lessons from a professional. Learn how to draw first and learn how to see. Learn how to take pictures with a camera or your phone. Bring them outside on a bright day and take the picture not in direct sunlight but with the bright sky at your back with the painting in the shade and you will be surprised at the results. Jennifer, you have the ambition and the will, but that alone won't make you an artist you need to take lessons from a professional or an art school. I don't think Fan Art will fit the bill, there is so much to learn you need to start from the ground up. Buy a small sketch book and start to draw common objects from different angles and draw what you see and not what you think you see. Date every picture so you can review your progress. This will help you to learn how to see. Cup and saucer, from all different angles. Review it after you are done and do a critique of your work. Start with pencil and or charcoal. Do at the least three sketches at a sitting. Live sketches are best, but try a drawing of a photo also. Next try colored pencils or pastel, and then when you feel you are ready you can progress to acrylic paint. Paint on paper it works fine and it is cheap. Learn photography it goes hand in hand, because you have to take pictures of your work. The internet is a must and youtube helps also and instagram will show you the works of present day professional artists that are selling their work. Looking is good but seeing is the best. This piece that you have posted does not have that much merit to speak of, but you deserve the credit for trying. Always post proud and don't make excuses for your work. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Ray

'What am I doing'? I'm thinkin' that thia abstract view of 'Echinodermos' that you've presented us with is kinda' Cool! : D
It's enjoyably colorful and it's transmitting a nice 'Out of the Ordinary' vibe!
Besides that unnecessary and distracting 'FAR' watermark that's been plastered on the uploaded image I'm liking this very much!

This got my attention. The colors are bold and this is well balanced. I see some symbolism that I understand. I usually would love to talk with the artist more I do not like judging the art of others at all. So I qualify my statements i see a blue curved line for water and what symbolizes seaweed to me tbd starfish is green? This is why it's hard for me to paint completely abstract works I give you much credit! I lean towards surrealism because of the opportunity to use symbolism. Your work is beautiful. Best wishes!

I suggest you crop the image to show only the painting and repost it to get more views. I find the painting interesting but am unable to rate it as presented now. I see the powerful use of primary colours and secondary colour too. Hope you don't mistake me for my not-so-flattering comments.

A good looking image posted here! With interesting notes. Personally, I fee your image is a shade too dark. Otherwise nicely exposed and sharp. Nicely painted!
