Cats are such interesting creatures. They're really different from other animals like dogs, I really like how the black and white style highlights the emotion of the image.

Oh this is a truly excellent take. B&W conversion was a brilliant idea - it works.

Camera technique is spot on. Super detail.

Timing is everything with candid shots and you got this one at just the right time - excellent.

Well done... Bob

Sweet thing! Give him a pet for me! Great shot and great storytelling photo. Yes the black and white is good. What nicely shaped sweet paws. Is he a mixed breed? I see he has the stripes at the corners of the eyes but the rest of him looks solid coloured... I used to have show Bengals because I worked for a man who showed them and he gave me several that didn't quite "make the cut" that had similar shaped paws. I have come to deeply disapprove of showing cats for various reasons, but it was an informative learning experience.. Your boy must be tawny in colour? (gold, light brown?) Have a great day and look after kitty!

Great looking shot. Good timing of the funny things pets do most of the time. The light and shadow and the composition have come out well. Good luck!

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a great photo of the cat looking through the broken screen on the door. Black and white is perfect for this image. Great use of lights and shadows.

Congratulations!

LOL!!! MY brother was taking care of the neighbor's cat while they were away and the same thing happened. He couldn't understand how the cats were getting out of the house. He discovered a basement window had a loose screen and had to fix it. I definitely laughed when I saw this! I'm so glad you caught your cat in escape mode and got this wonderful picture. Love the lighting, focus and the tight frame. The most fun I ever had with a 2 cent review! This is a gem! I can see why you won the contest! BIG Congratulations! :o) Nancy

This is a fantastic picture and it tells a cute story. Excellently focused and framed. You ave done a wonderful job with this picture. I just hit me, the painting that you just graciously reviewed for me "Just passing through" would be a cool title too. Very nicely done. Ray

I really do like it. Charlie is adorable. The act is so cute. What loyalty. He acted like one of our dogs we've owned, although he is a cat I believe. And, like one of our neighbor's dogs. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes.
