Mary,
A beautiful portrait of this beautiful female White Cheeked Gibbon appearing to be hanging from her right hand on to a branch above. The light from behind her gives her a halo of light around her head. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Holy fur ball ... Batman! God lord Nancy this shot is so sharply focused I can count the individual hair on its fuzzy little face.

Your camera settings are well established and have produced a high resolution image of good contrast, color and tonal range.

From the look of this image it was a very productive outing to the Zoo ... Bob

So sorry to hear you are having trouble with your back. This is a beautiful picture of a female Gibbon, her features are so distinct. I agree with you there should be more efforts to preserving the species. Those who can should. Feel better Mary. Ray

what a pity when so many beautiful animals in the world decline and then disappear; this female gibbon with her nice fur is really a beauty;

She looks like a rag doll!:)
You have shot it well. Good timing. The light and shadows, the colours and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

Hi Mary, So sorry to hear that so many gibbons have been wiped out! It's always sad to know so many creatures are on the edge of extinction because of humans ! Love the pose of this one and the coloration of its fur. Though you can't see her eyes to well the rest of the image is fine. The lighting and focus show off her fur nicely! Thanks for sharing and I'm sorry to hear about your back. Hope your out and about soon! :o) Nancy

What a cute creature this white cheeked gibbon is!
This is I think the first gibbon I have even on here so I appreciate this image!
It's acute pose this lite lady has offered you and you have captured her well with good focus, this image is sharp and clear, exposure is mostly good , I think I would brighten her eyes as they are a bit dark.
Otherwise, she is well presented!

    Thanks Pat, yes they have very dark eyes and as she is looking down it darkens them even more.
