I think I like the basic idea and composition in this shot. I do find the sky rather boring and might have included lass of it. Also, not enough detail in the scene for me. Worth a trip to try a reshoot.

Nice photo for a black and white conversion. Great displays of texture and contrast. Can't go wrong with Arizona landscapes. They speak for themselves. Nice shot.

The image is pretty straight forward and I feel like I've seen it before. Maybe just try to find images that are a little different and are unique to your vision.

I do like this picture as it is very atmospheric but in black and white it is difficult to see some of the foreground interest. I don't know if it would have been clearer in colour - perhaps.

I too like Ansel Adam. I like the look of a black & white. I use Topaz black and white to do mine. I have more options with it. I think the best thing about his work is the clouds and contrast he used on all his work. I know he used a darkroom which is where I began photography. I learned a lot there.
You have a pretty neat photograph and I hope you do well with it!

I have an old copy on a dusc. The only way to get Topaz is downloads not sure of the cost. You can maybe find a disc copy from ebay but it will be and old one.

Thanks ma'am for the nice review I'd strongly suggest googling Ansel. He was one of the best landscape photographers; you might get inspired.

This is fine work done in black and white. The photography of the high but straight rock formation is fine as is the formation itself. The sky is nice enough as is the rest of the image. I do feel this would be beautiful in color also.
