This photograph beautifully captures the architecture of yesteryears. You have timed it impeccably, and the interplay of light and sharpness creates a captivating image showcasing the yellow paint. Thanks for sharing. Good luck!

Hi Brian, your 18-55 handled the long straight lines very well - no parallax, lots of sharply defined leading edges.

Camera technique is spot on sharp and in focus - great DOF.

Excellent white balance control. The clouds look right with nice crisp edges. Sharp color contrast brought out with controlled illumination - no blown out spots.

This take has a crispness about it that makes it easy to view. The detail is so fine one takes more time to review this image just in case some detail is overlooked.

That said, I think this shot in a landscape orientation would give a longer look down the street. Even if the other row houses didn't look like these, the longer look would give a broader perspective of place - maybe?

Nice work... Bob

thanks Bob for the good comments, funny should say that because i do have a landscape one of the street[will put on here] bot because of the yellow factor [which is more prominent in this one]decided on this one.

The yellow is beautifully captured and comes through against the high contrast and high detailed beams that break up the surface. There is an interesting hint at one point perspective lines, but the image is taken so close to the subject the illusion is lost a little.

Hi Brian. what an interesting capture of this unusual architecture. It makes me wonder what this neighborhood looks like. Your balance and exposure is good but I am wondering why you cut it off to only see a part of the building.

Brian,
A beautiful picture of this beautiful well maintained timber framed house in Lavenham, that dates back centuries along with many others in that beautiful medieval wool town. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
