Very cute photo with interesting composition. It seems as if the photo was taken as if the camera could be a part of the scene depicted. This concept is interesting, however, in practice the close framing and high contrast make the photo a little hard to understand fully.

To be honest it took me a few minutes to understand everything in the picture, especially on the right side. It seems like there's some kind of tree or dog or something? The zoom and the angle makes it really difficult to understand what half of the image is. It also feels like the main subject is on the guard in front of the king and not the king himself. Maybe this was intentional to divert attention? But from your description it seems like you wanted to highlight the coronation, but I don't get that feeling at all from the photo.

It was simply a bit of fun,you are looking to much into it

Brian,
A beautiful & very amusing creation of King Charles with two Grenadier Guards on either side with an assortment of animals & flowers created in wool using knitting & crochet to make the figures. The sunshine highlights the scene. Amusing composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
I watched this Coronation on TV & the 1953 Coronation in the Cinema in Ipswich.
