A great photograph of this yellow iris. I must say I have not seen such a beautiful color combination as this. Focus and clarity are excellent with added bonus of water droplets. Very nice.

What a beautiful variety of the bearded Iris, shining in all her glory! The time of day created a lovely exposure and nuance. The dew is definitely a delicious addition. Love the anticipatory feeling of a future sister emerging soon.

nice colorful capture. the angle of the shot of this colorful flower with dew drops on it is great. the capture of the light is great. the clarity is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

I do love irises, but this one is particularly lovely with its unusual yellows and mauves.
Beautifully taken Bob, for all the reasons you've already stated and that there was no need of that trusty water sprayer was a real bonus!
Exposure is spot on giving beautiful natural colours and tones to the whole image.
The three dark stems in the background I find a tiny bit distracting though - but now I'm rather nit picking, sorry! Lol
The fact that you haven't entered this in the flower contest is a tad worrying (it's certainly a potential winner) as it must mean there's an even better one waiting to be entered! Gulp!

Hi Charlotte.. Yeah I thought long and hard about those unfurled blossoms, and removed them. That made the background bokeh flat and dimensionless so I left em alone.

The iris is beautiful, the yellows and purples with the raindrops upon their petals and blooms add so much. I enjoyed your narrative. At a distance, the back plant, dark at the top, looks like a corn-on-the- cob with the husks peeled down. Thanks for sharing.
