A very beautiful picture of the mid & pale purple Iris with curly edges to it's petals standing out from their blurred green background. Artistic composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Beautifully focused with excellent dof, every inch is sharp.

The dark purple on the edges of the iris was added by me. I think it has a way of making your flowers stand out. I'm glad you liked the effect! :o) Nancy

Oh Nancy! What a lovely image of these beautiful lavender Irises. They are some of my favorites! I remember the first time I ever saw an Iris! I was in awe. I was taking a little jaunt up in Colorado where I liked to do a lot of photography because the nature was just so gorgeous, when I came upon a quaint little country home with the most beautiful gardens I've ever seen. It was like walking in a mini botanical garden in the country. I actually pulled up into the driveway and asked homeowner if it was OK to take some pictures of her flowers. She was a cute little lady who invited me to come in. She served me the most wonderful cup of coffee I've ever had, then walked me through her gardens, telling stories. When I came across the irises they were the most fragrant I have ever had the opportunity to enjoy. I know this is not the type of review you're used to getting but every time I see an iris, I think of this woman and this wonderful experience that felt like a dream. It's not every day you run into people like her and her beautiful home and garden! Then, when I moved into our country home, here, way down here in Alabama, my first spring surprise me with loads of purple irises. And then all of a sudden I began to see several more varieties, the woman who lived here before planted the most wonderful garden, and it was a beautiful surprise! Because when we bought this home, it was autumn, and there were no flowers around!
So thank you for reminding me with your beautiful art of my wonderful memory! Irises will always be special!
