Hi Jewell, You found a lovely place to get a reflection shot. You may not have been planning to get a reflection shot when you took this but I like what you captured! Love your pov. I think between the grasses and the flowers you picked the perfect spot to shoot from. Very pretty with great lighting and focus. Nicely done My Friend! :o) Nancy

Thank you, Nancy! I think from where I was standing, I couldn?t back up any more, or I would have gotten the top of the hill. It was still
    A beautiful place!

The stillness of the water has provided the perfect conditions for the reflections which are a mirror image of the beautiful scenery.
Love the colors and the composition.
Your focus and dof are excellent.

Thank you for your kind words.
Did you really mean to rate it two stars? Just curious.

So sorry, that was an error. I just corrected to 5 stars.

Oh Jewell, this shot is a hoot and I'm loving it. One of my most favorite scenes involves reflective water and I gotta tell ya I would have killed to be there to see this and get a couple takes myself - this is incredible.

The reflective surface of the water is mirror perfect. If it weren't for the foreground greenery, one could turn this shot upside down and no one would be the wiser.

Of course your camera settings are well established and have produced a high resolution image of good contrast, color, tonal range and pin sharp focusing.

This is good stuff to look at and a pleasure to review. Thanks for posting... Bob

nice capture. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the water reflection and trees around it is great. the capture of the light is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

A good looking image posted here into the competition! I visited the city way back 2014, but did not discover that beautiful looking garden. Colours, textures and tones are good. Well done and good luck!

Thank you. They have a even nicer garden there, called Ashton Gardens. If you ever go back, check it out.

This is a wonderful shot Jewell, and a great choice for the competition! What a beautiful place.
Focus and dof are both spot on.
Composition is lovely, especially that you've included the foliage in the foreground, but a bit of a shame that you didn't take a couple of steps back to include the hilltop, it would have rounded it off nicely - yep pun intended lol.
Excellent exposure, resulting in beautiful natural colours overall.
Very best of luck in the contest!
