Hi Jodi, I love the look Comanche gives to strangers! I can imagine him thinking..
"What is so special about you? " LOL The look really tells a story. You can take the story anywhere with a face like that! You captured a great shot of this fellow that my imagination had fun with! The lighting and focus so emphasize the look! Very Cool shot! Good Luck in the contest My Friend ! :o) Nancy

Wow! I like this, artist friend Jodi. The pose you captured of this erect-standing or sitting dog. His eyes are so intense as is his pose. The background is so complimentary. That name sure matches him. Outstanding job!

Jodi,
A beautiful picture of of your nephew's dog Comanche, his ears pricked & the light sparkling in his amber eyes. The light highlighting his black & blue roan coat. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Strange name for a dog, but then again I am a Brit. Textures, colours and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

Many thanks for your fine review - this is a southwest desert dog so the name fits his surroundings!

Gosh I certainly wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of this handsome chap! Nah, dogs like me, I'm sure I'd be fine!
A wonderful portrait Jodi (but couldn't you have entered a snake or a mouse? I need the support! Lol)
Beautifully focused with good dof and a perfect, bland background which really makes him pop.
The exposure is perfect, the black ears and eye patches are tricky to deal with alongside the white, but you've managed it exceptionally well.
Well deserving of a six, but unfortunately I've already spent all mine. Sorry.

This is so well done Jody, I think you would do very well as a Pet Portraitist.

This is a good looking pet portrait posted here! This excellently framed, bright and near monotone composition gives us an remarkable look at this lucky dog. The exposure and sharpness excellent.

The fine detail focusing of the face is just so good. I think you could count individual hairs on his face.

You have captured this dogs persona, well done!... Bob

Thanks so much, Bob! It?s funny that you would say something about being a pet portraitist because I am getting ready to launch a business doing just that! Your comments are greatly appreciated, thank you so much for your opinion.

Comanche is a handsome boy. I love the markings on his face, especially that dark patch around his eye. He looks pretty intense like he could probably give you a stare down great shot. I wish you the best of luck at this contest.

You have a wonderful portrait of Comanche a Hansom black and white blue heeler. He looks a bit stern here, and checking the viewer out. One good looking dog and you did a fine job capturing his features. The best of luck in the contest. Ray
