This is a fine statue with amazing dedication. Being a retired FDNY fire lieutenant, this touches me. I spent time in Ladder 12 and Engine 3. This is a wonderful memorial, with out a doubt. May the memorials be preserved and may we never forget. Ray

I took this image simply because I loved the fisherman statue. It meant a lot more when I read the plaque beneath it. I'm so glad FOX tv dedicated it to this special man! Thank you not only for the review but your service as a firefighter.

very cool..both the capture and the tribute. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of this monument is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

To answer your question... It could be that the fireman was an avid fisherman and that's why he entered the FOX TV contest. They may have thought the fisherman was a nice way to honor him. I don't know the tv moguls did it this way, but they did! Glad you liked the statue.Thanks for the wonderful review and contest wishes.

I think because this 911 hero won the contest FOX tv promoted.. that involved this statue.. they wanted to honor him by dedicating the statue to him. Who knows the way tv moguls think? Glad you liked it1

Thank you! I loved the statue but it became even more special when I discovered what a lovely dedication it was to the fireman.
