I love this! A very clear and awesome picture. The bear looks quite happy to be doing bear things! And very much reminds me of home! Well done!

Well I have to say I wish you were not this close to a wild bear. Nice shot, glad this bear was on its best behavior. However, after watching Cocaine Bear, I think they are less cute. Technically a very nice crisp image with a nice composition and lighting. Please stay safe when photographing your friend.

Hi Lisa.. Bear and I when in close proximity of each other make eye contact and keep our distance. She's a wild animal not a pet. She comes through here about once a month. Sometimes I see her and sometimes not.

Thanks for the review and stars. I'm happy you liked Missy... Bob

A wonderful nature image of this black bear peeping around the tree trunk. I also like the green leaves that frame Missy. You have captured Missy's details very well especially the features of her face. Nice clear eyes and nose. Colours are natural in the light. Well done!

A smiling bear! How cute! Love that you captured her peeking around the tree to say hello. Missy is a nice addition to your relationships, eh?
Made me smile!
I see no edits needed. Great exposure and balance. Nice subject!

Hi Jewell.. Oh she's a cutie alright. Should see her after raiding my feeder - peanut butter and sunflower seeds plastered all over her face.

I'm glad you liked the post. Thank you, for the excellent review and rating!... Bob

Such a sweet picture of this lovely black bear as he peaks around the tree. The leaves and branches are a lovely backdrop and everything is clear and well positioned. Nice job

This is a beautiful photo and a wonderful catch. The composition is great especially because I expect Missy is basically on the move. The clarity is good and the colors are perfect.
Seems like she has chosen a great and supportive community in which to live.

Hi Bay.. Briefly here's Missy's story. Her mother and sibling died and she was injured from some sort of accidental injury. I found her at the back of my property. Game Warden took her to a rehab shelter. Six months later they released her back where I found her. At my an some of the other neighbor's request. Because of her injury she has a small bald spot on her left hip - that's how I know it's her. She will be fully mature by this time next year. I expect she will move off to larger more remote areas inhabited with boy bears!

Thanks for the review and stars... Bob

Don't know if I'd want a bear to be dropping by that often, but Missy does look happy to see you Bob! LOL Love the shot of her peeking around the tree at you! It does look like she's smiling too! Love the leafy background. Both focus and lighting are pretty good too! An interesting and fun shot! :o) Nancy

She looks like such a sweet and friendly girl! It actually looks like she is smiling! I'm glad you all have agreed not to feed her!
I like the way she is looking out from behind the tree. Nice focus on her face ,I especially like the clear eyes!
That black fur is difficult to photograph , you have brought out the detail in her face . Nice clear image with good use of the light , colors and tones appear natural. I like the way the tree forms a v to frame her and the green leaves make a perfect background.
Well composed and presented!

Hi Pat.. You know you just can't win. If their in a little shadow you lose fur detail and if in direct light the fur reflects glare and you lose fur detail.

I'm glad you liked the post. Thank you, for the excellent review and rating!... Bob

This is beautiful wildlife photography. You have framed it well. The light, and the composition have worked well and you have caught the curious look on Missy's face very well. Good effort.

She's anything but domesticated Ray. She wasn't a year old when I found her in the back yard. I tried to shoo her away but she wouldn't move. When she let me approach that's when I found she was injured. The Conservation Officer took her to a rehab center. 6 months later they released her in her familiar ground. So today when she is around we both keep a respectful distance from each other. Thank you so much, for the review and great rating ... Bob
