Congratulations on your second-place with this entry. This is beautiful, so pastoral. I really like it. And, the sky adds so much beauty accenting it all are those beautiful golden low clouds.

Hi Montana, What a lovely view! Love the pastural setting. Everything looks so calm and peaceful. Definitely a place to lift your spirits. Love the long mountain range and the way the clouds sit over them. Very nice lighting and focus too! Great shot for the contest! Good Luck!

Ruth Ann, From the foreground water feature, through the shrubs and trees, to the vast grass fields all the way to the mountains and beyond into the receding dollops of bright golden clouds, as grey wispy clouds sneak across, and all as the noted symphony crescendos. What a way to end the the day. You have captured the beauty of the moment. The best of luck in the contest. Ray

This is a gorgeous image that certainly evokes pastoral symphony! You were wise to run out to catch this shot.
The photo is beautifully composed, the DoF is spot on, and the colors are divine.
I love that slice of water on the edge. The whole scene is wondrous, bravo!

Beautiful sunset picture looking over the pasture land as far as the eye can see to the mountains rising above the horizon. The sun on the horizon adding a golden glow to the clouds floating over the mountains.this glow then reflected onto the pasture in the foreground. Artistic composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Hi Ruth Ann.. Well this beautiful landscape shot certainly meets the main criteria of this contest.

Excellent low light work both behind the lens and at the keyboard. Your timing was impeccable, you got the clouds reflecting the best of the receding sun light - kudos.

Brilliant framing keeping the foreground water feature to a minimum. Too much H2O would change the focus and look of the piece.

Saturating the foreground grasses was very clever and it works grandly. Just bright enough to take the viewer on into the scene.

This is really well done and if the contest is still to be decided, I wish you all the luck in the contest... Bob

This really is a beautiful shot of an all time favourite subject matter. and the all time music 6th symphony. The colours are awesome and the fading light adds mystery. Finely composed and timed this makes interesting viewing! Good luck!

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of that beautiful, post storm location. Colours, textures and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!

This is such a tranquil scene. I like the elements of your composition, especially the inclusion of the body of water and the brownish grass blades, signifying the end of Summer scenes. The sunset lighting was well captured with just the right amount of brightness. The gray clouds also makes the scene pretty dramatic.
